What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Associate position at English Inn of Charlottesville?
At the English Inn of Charlottesville, Front Desk Associates serve as ambassador to the hotel, handling all guest arrivals (check-ins), departures (check-outs), reservations by phone or in person, with a sincere welcome and the highest level of service. Verbal communication and computer skills (typing) are important. Associates must work well with other team members, follow company policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality, protect hotel assets, uphold quality standards, and present a professional personal appearance. Associates will be on their feet and moving around (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time) and must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Prior guest services or similar experience is preferred, but not required. Training is provided. A positive attitude and desire to assist guests with their needs is an asset.
Associates may be required to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays
