Estimator/Project Manager - Sheet Metal

Responsibilities:

- Manage the entire estimating process from start to finish, ensuring accurate and timely completion of estimates

- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to gather necessary information for accurate cost estimation

- Utilize construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost estimates

- Analyze project scope and develop comprehensive bid proposals

- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project requirements and identify potential challenges or opportunities

- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing for materials and labor

- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms

- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process, identifying areas of cost control improvement

- Provide guidance and support to junior estimators as needed

Experience:

- Prior experience with sheet metal

- Proven experience in construction estimating

- Strong knowledge of construction industry practices, materials, and methods

- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam

- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to accurately interpret project plans and specifications

- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive pricing from subcontractors and vendors

- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
