SUMMARY

The Regional Asset Manager is a mechanically inclined individual who will ensure adherence to guidelines for maintenance, retention, and disposition of fixed assets and associated records. This position will champion the assurance of compliance with Federal, State, and Local standards as it relates to the company’s equipment, including rolling stock, vessels, and all other response equipment. This position will conduct frequent audits throughout the Region of responsibility and provide Senior Leadership with reports.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Collaborates with the Division and Operations Managers to equipment inspection, maintenance, and document standards are met. Standards are based on compliance with internal, local, state, and federal policies, procedures, and regulations.
  2. Ensures that routine asset inventories and maintenance are conducted and documented.
  3. Track new assets to ensure that they are entered into the company tracking system and included in the inventory and maintenance program.
  4. Oversees implementation of new processes and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes.
  5. Provide Senior Leadership with cost-benefit analysis for replacement versus repair recommendations.
  6. Conduct routine audits to ensure offices are conducting their required inspections and maintenance.
  7. Assist in the registration of all company vehicles and vessels.
  8. Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS

COMPETENCIES

  1. Time Management.
  2. Possess a broad knowledge of basic equipment operation and maintenance requirements, including failure modes and corrective actions with a high degree of mechanical aptitude.
  3. Must possess a high degree of computer literacy using Microsoft Suite and other databases.

  7. Communication Proficiency.
  8. Organizational Skills.
  9. Thorough understanding of operations policies and practices.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. At least 8-10 years’ industry-related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  3. Understanding of business principles and practices
  4. Knowledge of materials, methods, equipment & tools involved in remediation services.
  5. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
  6. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  7. Problem solving and analytical skills

POSITION REQUIREMENTS & DEMANDS

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Highly technical work with the possibility of prolonged periods working in stressful situations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move items up to 75 pounds. The employee will be exposed to extreme seasonal temperatures, both very hot and very cold. The employee will be exposed to contaminants, hazardous conditions, and hazardous equipment. The employee will be exposed to cramped workspace, awkward positions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

POSITION TYPE & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Travel is expected for this position.
