Webmaster & Virtual Meeting Manager - Independent Contractor

The Webmaster Virtual Meeting Manager (WVMM) is a specialist who designs and manages the Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church (ETBC) website and manages streaming and virtual platforms (i.e., Zoom, Skype, MS Teams, etc.).

This individual must have an analytical mind and a detailed understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Pay Per Click (PPC). The WVMM must demonstrate a meticulous attention to detail, the ability to problem-solving issues quickly and efficiently, and working collaboratively with all representatives at ETBC. To ensure success, a WVMM must have documented, excellent understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS) and technology infrastructures using but not limited to CSS, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Web-Proxy, and Security Audits.

This position reports to the Associate Pastor of Exaltation

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualizing, implementing, and managing creative website ideas for and with clients
  • Designing engaging and responsive website landing pages for ministries and staff
  • Conduct testing and improving the website design and function to create the best possible user experience
  • Integrating client CMS programs and data feeds into website, including landing pages as appropriate
  • Ensuring web and app logic are properly integrated and maintained
  • Ensure website function and stability across devices i.e., desktop, mobile, tablet, etc.
  • Optimizing sites for maximum speed and scalability
  • Maintain flexibility to accommodate meetings with short notice
  • Maintain a quarterly calendar of virtual meetings and events
  • Provide recordings of virtual meetings for meeting point of contacts
  • Lead technical side during live meetings and Livestreams (i.e., spotlight speakers, turn off microphones, play videos, Livestream, etc.)
  • Handle technical issues during live meetings, recordings, streaming, etc.
  • Appropriately comply with and manage 508 requirements (live captioning, recording captions)
  • Create and post on the website, a best practice guide for virtual meetings with a checklist of requirements or needs
  • Be able to record and edit videos, recordings, etc.
  • Stay current on industry standards, practices, and technology
  • Bring new ideas on how to stay current in the virtual meeting space
  • Create and provide registration links as requested
  • Create and distribute surveys as requested

Requirements:

  • 5 years of work experience as a Website Manager, Web Designer, or Web Developer
  • Experience with internet-based streaming platforms and services
  • Experience with virtual meeting platforms and services
  • Expert knowledge of Macromedia suite, Adobe suite, Content Management Systems and W3C Web standards
  • Highly proficient in HTML, XHTML, CSS design, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, firewalls (functionality and maintenance), Access, mySQL and JavaScript
  • Great understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Paid Per Click (PPC)
  • Ability to troubleshoot website issues in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills
  • Excellent content creation and writing skills
  • Documented time management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Stay up to date on industry standards, practices, and technology. Bring new ideas on how to stay current in the virtual/hybrid meeting space
  • Monitor and report streaming services traffic metrics

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of effective communications strategies and tactics
  • Strong planning and organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and a focus on delivery
  • Experience leading/supervising communications operations
  • Experience coordinating communications products for large, multi-level organizations
  • Experience using Zoom, Teams, and other virtual meeting spaces
  • Experience developing and editing in Microsoft products, including PowerPoint
  • Self-directed, results-oriented, and flexible; works well under pressure and adheres to tight deadlines
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of an organization

Education

A degree in Computer Science, or related field

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • On call
  • Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
Everyone is required to wear a mask inside the building; surfaces are cleaned and sanitized on a a regular basis.
