About The Role:
The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of Building Management Systems to ensure the building systems are operational and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Identify vendors and contractors
- Reconfigure offices and cubicles
- Maintain and monitor mechanical and electrical systems and ensures all preventive maintenance actions are taken
- Oversee facility and equipment project work.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for all aspects of responsibilities following industry best practices
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels for maintenance and environmental supplies.
- Research and provide cost estimates in line with budget requirements.
- Maintain and monitor fire protection and security systems.
- Respond to and assists in repairing any system failure and emergencies 24/7.
- Supervise outside contractors in maintenance, major repair, renovation, construction, and janitorial services.
- Responsible for ergonomic assessments and implementation of recommendations.
- Monitor projects to budget and schedule, including multiple contracts, consultants, etc.
- Assist in the coordination of Environmental Health & Safety systems, ensuring compliance with CAL-OSHA requirements.
Requirements:
- BA in an Engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education/experience
- 5 years of progressive facilities management experience
- Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Available to work extended hours, including nights and weekends
- Knowledge of building codes, fire/life safety regulations, and OSHA requirements.
- Cost estimating and project management.
- Ability to read and understand building plans and specifications.
- Some understanding of accounting/financial cost controls and budgets.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, including proven ability to work with multiple constituencies.
- Knowledge of facilities engineering, construction, and maintenance.
