About The Role:

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of Building Management Systems to ensure the building systems are operational and in compliance with regulatory requirements.   
 
Responsibilities:

  • Identify vendors and contractors
  • Reconfigure offices and cubicles
  • Maintain and monitor mechanical and electrical systems and ensures all preventive maintenance actions are taken
  • Oversee facility and equipment project work.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for all aspects of responsibilities following industry best practices
  • Ensure appropriate inventory levels for maintenance and environmental supplies.
  • Research and provide cost estimates in line with budget requirements.
  • Maintain and monitor fire protection and security systems.
  • Respond to and assists in repairing any system failure and emergencies 24/7.
  • Supervise outside contractors in maintenance, major repair, renovation, construction, and janitorial services.
  • Responsible for ergonomic assessments and implementation of recommendations.
  • Monitor projects to budget and schedule, including multiple contracts, consultants, etc.
  • Assist in the coordination of Environmental Health & Safety systems, ensuring compliance with CAL-OSHA requirements.

 
Requirements:

  • BA in an Engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • 5 years of progressive facilities management experience
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Available to work extended hours, including nights and weekends
  • Knowledge of building codes, fire/life safety regulations, and OSHA requirements.
  • Cost estimating and project management.
  • Ability to read and understand building plans and specifications.
  • Some understanding of accounting/financial cost controls and budgets.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, including proven ability to work with multiple constituencies.
  • Knowledge of facilities engineering, construction, and maintenance.
