EnPower, Inc. is a lithium-ion cell manufacturer poised to become the U.S. leader in advanced battery manufacturing. EnPower’s technology advantage lies in its patented multilayer electrodes, which address the trade-off between energy and power. High energy density cells with EnPower’s electrodes can repeatedly fast charge without degradation to service life, solving a critical challenge to the mass adoption of electric vehicles. We recently opened a customer qualification facility located in Indianapolis, IN that will produce up to 800-MWh of advanced Li-ion batteries annually for a variety of markets. The facility is equipped with a pouch cell manufacturing line and accelerates EnPower’s time to market by 24 months.
Job Description
Under supervision of the IT Manager, the IT Intern assists IT staff to perform basic level work.
Any one position may not include all the listed duties, nor do all the listed examples include all tasks that may be found in positions within this classification.
· Assist with help desk calls, scheduling, and tickets.
· Assist and support Windows Servers, Windows, and Mac clients.
· Basic end-user support to prevent customer service delays for basic technical issues.
· Under IT staff guidance, perform computer imaging, staging and installation.
· Assist in the maintenance of IT standards and documentation.
· Under the guidance of IT staff, inventory technology equipment and software for EnPower, Inc.
· Set up video conferencing sessions and other items as needed to assist IT staff.
· Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described.
Knowledge of:
· Basic technical skills and aptitude to learn technology to help support staff.
· Appropriate English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
Ability to:
· Be organized and structured with work orders, schedule work orders in a timely manner.
· Follow verbal and written plans and technical instructions with minimal supervision and guidance.
· Prioritize projects and services to minimize user interruption and down time.
· Employ a customer service approach and present information about technical issues clearly, both verbally and in writing.
· Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
· Operate standard office equipment including a computer and assigned software.
· Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
· Meet schedules and timelines.
· Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
· Interest or demonstrated experience with computer networking, hardware, and software.
· Enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Management or equivalent.
Able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. and perform the following for extended periods of time:
• Standing or sitting
• Climbing/squatting/walking
• Repetitive motions and lifting)
