Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Clinton County Counseling Center (CCCC) Supervisor, will function as a member of the Families Forward program providing assessment and intervention services to children and their families in Clinton County. Services provided will be primarily family focused with some individual and group treatment expectations, as well as liaison with support services. May include limited outreach activities. Must be willing to work a few evening hours, up to 4 hours, per week to accommodate families work schedule. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures. Requirements: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field is required. Possession of an appropriate State of Michigan credential is required, LMSW preferred. One year of experience (professional or paraprofessional) in the examination, evaluation and treatment of minors and their families required or one academic year of graduate practicum/internship experience with children and families required. One year of post Master’s experience with minors and families within the past six years preferred. Specific training or experience with cognitive behavioral interventions, family educational services, and/or strength based treatment is highly preferred. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally is required. Candidate must be able to work well with others. Candidate will be expected to work some evening hours. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable means of transportation for job related use is required.

Conditional Employment Requirements: Offers for this position will be contingent upon the results a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, and to undergo and pass a Central Registry Screening, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable driving record, educational background check and verification of an acceptable work history. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Salary/Hours: $58,206.75 – $64,819.00. 40 hours per week, some evening hours.
