Health & Safety Specialist

We are seeking a Health and Safety Professional for a 3–6 month role with the possibility of becoming a permanent or similar full-time position for our client in Andover, Massachusetts.

What We Are Looking For

EnSafe is looking for a Senior Environmental Safety and Health Specialist to work full-time as a consultant at a client site in Andover, MA.  This role would be excellent for a motivated ESH professional, who is looking for growth opportunities while being supported by EnSafe’s ESH team.

What You Will Be Doing:  

ESH Compliance for our client’s 95,000-square-foot manufacturing facility that engages in research, development, production, maintenance, and testing of flow batteries. Primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to managing the following programs:

• Lockout/tagout
• PIT/Material handling
• Electrical safety
• Confined spaces
• Hazard communication
• Occupational hygiene qualitative and quantitative assessments
• Noise exposure assessments
• Employee training
• Job hazard analysis
• Emergency response
• PPE 

Qualifications: 

• We require a minimum of a B.S. degree in an environmental health, safety, engineering, or related discipline 
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience (preferred in a manufacturing setting)
• Knowledge of health and safety standards 
• Attention to detail
• Analytical thinking skills
• Consulting and problem-solving skills 
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills
