Job Description

KLD Labs, Inc., a pioneer in innovative machine vision solutions tailored for railway customers' monitoring, measurement, inspection, condition-based maintenance, and asset management needs for over 33 years, is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our rail service department in Hauppauge, NY. The successful candidate will collaborate with our Mechanical Engineering team, contributing to various projects supporting wayside and rail systems. Alongside assisting with CAD activities, the Mechanical Engineering Intern will play a vital role in assuming lower priority tasks, providing essential support to engineers working on higher priority and time-sensitive projects. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure the candidate's success within KLD Labs and to complement ongoing engineering coursework.

Qualifications Required (Skills)

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for 3D modeling and design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in railway technology and a passion for innovation
