Referral Coordinator

The job of the referral coordinator is to help smooth out the wrinkles in a patient’s life. This role helps patients and families by providing direct access for their questions and concerns.

Arizona Otolaryngology Consultants is seeking a referral coordinator to join them at their Phoenix location. This person will be primarily responsible for new patient referral processing, patient registration, verification of insurance coverage, patient appointment scheduling, communication with referral sources, and other assigned tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the tracking and communication of new patient referrals
• Ensures complete and accurate patient registration, including demographics, email address, pharmacy, and current insurance information.
• Ensures that referrals are addressed in a timely manner.
• Communication with referral sources to ensure patient information/ registration is complete.
• Navigate patients to the appropriate provider within the group.
• Back up queue team in taking live calls from patients, families and offices to schedule appointments.
• Communicate with patients on past due balances that will be collected upon check-in.

Qualifications:

• Understanding HIPPA guidelines and maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Athena EMR experience.
• Experience in a Medical call center.
• Ability to multitask.
• Organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Able to take and follow through with delegated tasks and accountability.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
