Entertainment Consulting is one of the most successful operators of entertainment districts and casinos in the world. We are a privately held family owned and operated company with over 100 years of successful operations. Our headquarters is located in the Inner Harbor area of downtown Baltimore.
We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Accounting Department. Qualified candidates should have up to 1 year of accounting experience, preferably in the leisure and entertainment field. The ideal candidate will have a background including general accounting knowledge, financial statement preparation and analysis, exposure to multiple accounting and operational software packages. The ideal candidate values consistency and accuracy, is able to work under pressure and meet deadlines and is able to work as part of a team, as well as independently. They must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of privileged information and demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of education
Position Responsibilities include:
- Preparation of weekly sales reports, AP processing and inventory reconciliation
- Preparation and analysis of weekly operational reports
- Assist in monthly closing of the general ledger and ad hoc report preparation as required
- Assist in yearend closing of general ledger and preparation of working papers for financial statements and tax returns.
- Monthly variance reporting
- Sales, property and other tax preparation and filing in compliance with local and state requirements
- Assist in processing and reconciliation of accounts receivable and inter-company accounts

- Prior experience with Great Plains, CTUIT and Aloha Enterprise (or similar packages)
