Role and Responsibilities

• Provide consulting services for the design, implementation, and management of industrial wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of wastewater treatment processes for clients, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainable and cost-effective wastewater management solutions for clients.
• Offer technical expertise and support to clients and internal stakeholders on wastewater-related projects.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing wastewater treatment systems for clients, troubleshooting and resolving any operational issues.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for wastewater treatment equipment.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and advancements in wastewater treatment technologies.
• Lead the detailed system design for industrial wastewater treatment projects, including the selection and integration of appropriate treatment technologies.
• Conduct thorough research on emerging trends, innovative technologies, and best practices in industrial wastewater treatment to enhance project outcomes.
• Specify and recommend suitable treatment technologies based on project requirements, client needs, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate closely with contractors during the construction phase, providing technical guidance and ensuring the proper implementation of wastewater treatment systems.
• Oversee the preparation of construction documents, including detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and project plans.
• Perform on-site inspections and evaluations during construction to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulations.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve any technical issues that may arise during the construction phase.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, feasibility studies, and documentation for clients, detailing system designs, performance expectations, and recommendations.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of consulting experience in industrial wastewater engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience working with Pennsylvania environmental regulations is a plus.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and implementing industrial wastewater projects for consulting clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a consulting team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• In-depth understanding of industrial wastewater treatment processes and technologies.
• Proficiency in utilizing engineering software and tools for designing and analyzing wastewater systems.
• Strong project management skills, including managing multiple consulting projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize wastewater treatment processes for diverse clients.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes related to wastewater management.
• Familiarity with risk assessments and environmental impact assessments in a consulting context.
