Programmer

Entech Engineering, Inc. has an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Programmer to join our team! This position is available to Pennsylvania residents and offers a remote option with occasional visits to one of our seven PA office locations.

Role and Responsibilities

• Support company needs with focus on database programming for Facilities Condition Assessment and Sustainability tracking databases
• Collaborate with other engineering groups to facilitate a collaborative team approach to maintaining and improving company offerings
• Design, develop, maintain, document, troubleshoot and debug MS SQL database and software programs
• Support integration of database with GIS, BIM and other software
• Support team in developing concept, budget, and schedule on database improvements and changes
• Propose designs, specifications, analysis, and recommendations for development of new products
• Assists with instruction and training of employees to achieve team goals
• Participate in the design review process and provide technical input to peers
• Troubleshoot issues as they arise and provide solutions
• Provide back up support to Database Administrator
• Backup and restore databases
• Monitor and optimize the performance of the database
• Generate reports from database as needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or controls/automation discipline
• 3-5 years of programming experience
• Valid Drivers License

• BIM (Business Information Models) CAD

• Windows Server operating systems
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills
