What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Lead position at Entegee?
KEYS:
- Bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline field with a minimum of 12 plus years in shipyard design and/or construction experience or equivalent experience supplemented by training.
- Knowledge of shipboard Cyber would be an advantage.
- Strong working knowledge of Maritime Regulatory Authorities (i.e. ABS, DNV, NAVSEA, MIL, USCG, IMO, etc.).
- Must be a U.S. National. (No Green Card Holders).
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the technical accuracy and content of design deliverables.
- Report directly to the Chief Engineer and work under the general direction of the Chief Engineer and Program Engineer for the specific assigned project.
- Possess a thorough understanding of vessel design in areas such as structure, outfitting & hull, mechanical systems, and electrical systems.
- Oversee and conduct the design of marine systems and machinery, considering complexities of production, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet regulatory standards and client requirements.
- Apply strong working knowledge of Maritime Regulatory Authorities' guidelines to ensure compliance.
- Provide expertise in shipboard Cyber and integrate related principles into the design process.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in shipyard design processes.
- Demonstrate leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
- Assist in evaluating and implementing emerging technologies and best practices in ship design.
Preferred Skills:
- Expertise in naval architecture, shipbuilding, and production processes.
- Proficiency in electrical design, including power generation, distribution, lighting, controls, and communication systems.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC, TEMPEST, wireways/cableways, and lighting design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex engineering challenges.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $130,000.00 PER YEAR
