Summary:
Mechanical Engineer needed for engineering, design, project cost estimation, and machinery customization in a confidential, team-based environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that furnishes the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Profound understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in computer operations, including CAD/CAM.
- Strong mechanical, analytical, and technical skills.
- Demonstrable ability in team leadership and coordination for the achievement of process improvement objectives.
- Comprehensive knowledge of plant engineering, industrial engineering, and tooling.
Essential Functions:
- Develop designs, sketches, layouts, and schematics as a member of the design team.
- Undertake project estimations, encompassing material and labor costs, and procure quotations.
- Identify and report equipment issues and safety violations, participating in relevant engineering, safety, and production discussions.
- Manage A.R. expenditure documentation and budgeting, assess store inventory, approve invoices, and draft requisitions.
- Organize job installations and fast-track equipment delivery.
- Critically assess and endorse new procedures and store requisitions.
- Conduct thorough inspections of job installations, equipment operations, safety protocols, and newly acquired machinery.
- Oversee contractors and hourly project participants, offering technical support to the Maintenance Department and training for new equipment operators and maintenance staff.
- Execute engineering and design tasks for equipment and systems, and establish procedures and equipment specifications.
- Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as necessitated by the role.
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
