Plant Environmental Manager

Summary: Seeking a Plant Environmental Manager to oversee environmental programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead initiatives for operational excellence.

Requirements:

• BS Degree in Engineering, Science or related field
• 5 years of experience managing environmental compliance in an industrial environment
• 5 years of Title V compliance experience in an industrial setting
• In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and permits such as CAA, CWA, RCRA, DOT, EPCRA, and TRI

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a Union environment
• EPA Opacity Reading certification
• DOT Certification
• HAZWOPER certification
• ISO 14001 familiarity

Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor company environmental policies at the plant level
• Ensure compliance with federal and state environmental regulations
• Conduct employee training on environmental issues
• Respond to emergencies, investigate incidents, and recommend corrective actions
• Provide technical guidance on environmental matters for operations and equipment
• Complete required government reports
• Coordinate all plant environmental compliance efforts with operations teams for legal operation of the facility
• Conduct regular facility inspections and necessary sampling to meet site obligations
• Develop and conduct annual employee environmental training; maintain records
• Review all environmental records for accuracy; manage recordkeeping system
• Prepare and submit all required environmental reports
• Collect data for annual sustainability reporting
• Develop policies to meet plant environmental requirements and regulations
• Maintain plant operations in line with permits and regulatory demands
• Serve as an SME on regulatory issues; participate in incident investigations
• Lead environmental projects across other facilities or company-wide
