Summary: Seeking a Quality Engineer with experience in mechanical engineering and the automotive industry for quality assurance system development, root cause identification, and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements:
ABET EAC Certified Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a Master's Degree in Engineering (Engineering Technology degrees not accepted)
Experience with root cause analysis
Experience working with warranties
Previous experience interacting with suppliers
Comfortable working on production floor
Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time, potentially on short notice
Preferred Skills:
Mechanical engineering experience
Automotive industry experience
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement quality assurance systems
Identify top warranty drivers, root causes, and corrective actions
Implement countermeasures for continuous improvements in Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery
Participate as part of a team-oriented design, manufacture, service, and support
Interact with Customers, Suppliers, and all departments to resolve quality issues
Communicate technical specifications and supports Operations, Sales and Service
Apply fundamental engineering concepts to provide reliable solutions
Manage projects of various size and scope when needed
Be responsive to Customer needs both in production and in the field
Initiate and support continuous improvement activities throughout the company
Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
