Thorough understanding of Production Planning/Scheduling concepts, methods and practices. Has the ability to develop and resolve solutions outside routine assignments. Seeks input from more experienced peers on technical judgment and overall adequacy. Assignments are routine or semi-routine and under the guidance of more experienced peers.
This is not a remote position.
In this role you will:
- Identify system and process improvements
- Prioritize workload based upon customer demands
- Maintain planned Bill of Material (BOM) releases;
- Collaborate with Procurement and Engineering to resolve discrepancies
- Track BOM inaccuracies and create “raw data table” metrics for monthly reporting
- Produce project risk analysis for planned order discrepancies, and create material shortage reports
- Assist management with creation of departmental standard operating procedures (SOP)
- Update open work order report module
- Update customer service representatives (CSR) with manufacturing progress reports
- Notify Engineering of BOM deviation utilizing Engineering Change Revision (ECR) / Engineering change notification (ECN) process
- Work with Planners III or higher, Warehouse Manager and procurement, to update and maintain Kanban/safety stock inventory levels based upon supply/demand analysis
- Analyze work order variance and close work orders after product completion
- Escalate work order COGs discrepancies to Planner IV or higher for approval
- Escalate problems after proper due diligence to Planner III or higher
- Follow all Entegris planning policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Traits we believe make a strong candidate:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in factory planning
- Strong SAP or other equivalent ERP (Oracle, PeopleSoft) system experience; PP (Production Planning) and MM (Material Management) modules.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Systems e.g. Lean Inventory management, Kanban/JIT systems, and Value Stream Mapping
- Advanced Excel skills preferred; modeling, pivot tables, v-lookup, macro
- Experience reading engineered drawings to include Pressure and Instrumentation Diagram ( P&ID) and/or Process Flow Diagrams (PFD)
- Familiar with Critical Path Methodology (CPM) scheduling techniques
- Familiar with principles of manufacturing, engineering, costing, and planning
- Able to identify process improvements through collaboration
- Proficient in work order capacity routing assessments
- Ability to interpret Customer Data Sheets (CDS)
- Ability to work in a fast paced and high stress environment
- Ability to accept supervision and adjust to changes in work priorities as determined by Management.
- Strong ERP/MRP system knowledge
- Experienced in using MS Excel and data mining
