Travel Requirements: This position may require up to 25% travel.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls
- Performs technical research to support client needs and assist in the installation/implementation, development, and analysis of materials/processes/systems
- Facilitates system release planning by assisting the client in organizing and managing system requirements, changes, and related artifacts and activities for system releases and promoting release code and system patches to a production environment
- Assists in conducting review of system change requests, prioritization, and system compliance, standardization, and completeness
- Contribute to reviewing and maintaining a schedule of IT changes to enable proper sequencing, providing information regarding changes to system configuration requirements and environments
- Assists in creating, maintaining, and adapting configuration management documentation and tools as required. Reviews and makes recommendations for updates to existing configuration management strategy, processes, and practices
- Facilitates IT change board meetings, including monitoring attendance, facilitating discussions regarding specific proposed changes, and ensuring appropriate disposition of all changes brought to the Board
- Prepares documentation (including reports, agendas, and minutes) for change boards
- Assists in maintaining a configuration management plan which includes how changes are evaluated and impacted for time and schedule; a Change Request (CR) process to include documentation and life cycle management; change management infrastructure to include internal review boards and/or client review boards
- Assists in Release Manager duties, including identifying whether CRs are in scope or out of scope of a particular release Coordinates with business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls
Position Requirements:
Education Required | Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Business, Engineering, or the Sciences |
Experience Required | > 10 years of project management experience Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively connect with a variety of people Ability to work autonomously and with ambiguity |
Experience Preferred | The leadership of cross-functional business initiatives that deliver measurable business value Government contracts |
Specialized or Technical Knowledge, Licenses, and Certifications | PMP and CCMP Proficiency with advanced project management, collaboration, and reporting systems (e.g., MS Office Suite, MS Project, MS Project Online, Smartsheet, Tableau, Power BI, and Adobe Acrobat) |
