Job Summary/Purpose
Responsible for supporting Entergy IT's performance reporting function through the development, analysis, monitoring and management of IT performance metrics and capabilities. The IT Consultant will focus on driving performance improvements through metric definition, data collection/analysis and report development that align with IT strategic goals and objectives. The role will partner with stakeholders to ensure transparency, consistency and reliability of performance metrics that drive value and facilitate decision-making across the organization.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Support the development of Entergy IT’s performance monitoring and reporting processes, tools, & templates
- Develop enhanced reporting capabilities through standardization and automation
- Proactively analyze and communicate trends in performance across IT
- Collaborate with process owners and stakeholders to identify, develop and implement reporting/dashboards that facilitate process improvement
- Collect, consolidate and validate performance data for inclusion in IT and business communications, including weekly reports, monthly scorecards, and executive presentations
- Participate and assist in ad-hoc reporting efforts (e.g. benchmarking, surveys, etc.)
- Experience translating complex topics/ideas into visuals across different mediums (e.g. PPT, dashboards, etc.)
Minimum education required of the position:
Bachelor’s degree in related field, or the equivalent work experience.
Minimum experience required of the position:
IT Consultant: 5 years of experience with data analysis and reporting, including organizing, tracking and presenting performance data
Sr. IT Consultant: 7 years of experience with data analysis and reporting, including organizing, tracking and presenting performance data.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
- Working knowledge and experience with IT performance metrics (e.g. definition, data collection, etc.)
- Experience with data management, report design, data visualization and presentation techniques
- Familiarity with ServiceNow platform, including reporting, dashboards and Performance Analytics module
- Advanced proficiency in MS Suite, experience with MS PPT and BI reporting tools such as MS PowerBI
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills and comfort working with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
