Job Description
- Manage the activities of the corporate accounting department, for the preparation of accurate and timely financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external financial statements, budgets, forecasts, annual audits and tax returns (including form 990), project related/required reports; preparing work product as required.
- Prepare and review certain periodic reconciliations and analysis as required.
- Produce internal and external monthly and quarterly financial reports, including complex consolidation that includes over 100 entities that are partnerships, corporate, and non-profit. The reporting includes recording non-controlling interest and eliminations.
- Provide support and analysis for Board materials.
- Manage the maintenance of the books and records for all legal entities which include the corporate entities, projects under rehabilitation, operating entities, and the corporate general partners which includes the review of the annual audits and tax returns.
- Coordinate closing with the development accounting team to ensure that the corporate books and records reconcile with the books of the development and operating entities.
- Manage HUD and Federal contract compliance.
- Oversee cash accounts and liquidity management.
- Provide technical accounting guidance to the accounting team and other departments to facilitate accurate and timely reporting.
- Support the maintenance and/or establishment of accounting policies and procedures and other planning and control processes for the accounting department.
- Manage the corporate audit including coordination with auditors and providing accurate and timely information.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Supervise approximately 2 employees.
- Manage direct report's performance by providing performance feedback and provide timely and thorough goal setting and reviews.
- Actively encourage development of direct report employees.
- Set goals and communicate departmental goals so that employee understands the overall goals of their department and the company.
- Address performance issues constructively and in a timely fashion.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent is required, CPA is preferred.
- 10-15 years accounting experience is required, public accounting experience is a plus; 4-5 years supervisory experience preferred.
- Non-profit, tax provision, Real estate industry experience preferred, experience in affordable housing is a plus.
- Must be highly motivated, able to work independently and possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must possess strong financial, analytical, organizational, and quantitative skills, and ability to coordinate complex activities, prioritize conflicting demands and meet deadlines with a quality, accurate work product.
- Candidate is expected to demonstrate strong ethics and professionalism in interpersonal relations and work as an effective team member.
- Strong automation skills, including proficiency in Microsoft products and accounting applications.
- Experience with accounting systems required, experience with Workday and Yardi preferred.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) is required.
- Able to work effectively both independently and in team environments.
- Ability to work under stress/pressure.
- Ability to work evening and weekend hours during peak periods.

- The base salary range to offer for this role is between $140,000 to $170,000 per year depending on level of skills and experience.
- The salary range for this position is between the low and high end of the range for the amount to be paid for the position. Salaries paid at Enterprise will vary based on factors that may include skills, education, location, experience, and performance.
