We are seeking a Software Engineer to join Zions Bancorporation. The Software Engineer plays a key role in establishing a foundation for self-service governance capabilities (e.g., Data Portal, Cloud Portal, Banker Portal).
The Software Engineer will:
- Develop and maintain the front-end interface of applications, ensuring user experience and interface design fidelity.
- Implement server-side logic and database management to handle the back-end functionality of web applications.
- Collaborate with project managers and other developers to plan, design, and develop dynamic, high-quality web applications.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across the full stack, including both client-side and server-side code.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs to enhance application functionality and user experience.
- Write comprehensive unit tests and documentation for both front-end and back-end code to ensure maintainability and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure best practices are followed.
- Have good emotional intelligence and empathy when interacting with others.
- Actively participate in Design Discussions, and Demos.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in software engineering.
- Bachelor's in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
- Experience developing in Java frameworks like Spring or Spring Boot
- Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL
- Experience designing and developing RESTful services.
- Experience with version control system like Git
- Experience developing in Linux operating system.
- Ability to learn and adapt to change.
Nice to Have:
- Experience developing CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with cloud technology (e.g., Google, Azure)
- Experience building applications using Docker and Kubernetes
Location:
This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah.
