Position Description


Our ideal candidate for the position will be an automotive enthusiast with strong leadership characteristics and excellent verbal and written communication skills. They should have a proven ability to work in a fast paced, high accountability team environment and successfully resolve problems with a positive and upbeat attitude. This individual should have a strong attention to detail and logical problem-solving capabilities with a constant pursuit of raising the bar. A self-motivated team player who can identify tasks without supervision will excel in this role.


An applicant for this position should have a thorough understanding of quality management systems prior to joining the EAH team. This individual will be the primary contact to our manufacturing partners for any quality issues found on in house designed product for the ECS Tuning, Turner Motorsport, and EVannex brands within the EAH family. This is a full-time opportunity that reports to the Quality Manager at our Wadsworth, Ohio facility.


Responsibilities

  • Review quality reports and sample parts to ensure they meet EAH brand standards and print requirements
  • Participate in the investigation and resolution of product and process non-conformances for in house developed parts
  • Communicate directly with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve quality issues and develop corrective action plans to ensure future compliance
  • Seek credits or replacements for non-conforming parts while maintaining a strong relationship with manufacturing partners
  • Communicate print errors with engineering team and make suggestions on how to improve part quality via print updates and/or design changes
  • Assist Quality Technician(s) with part identification and severity of quality concerns
  • Assist with the coordination and monitoring of inventory logistics
  • Identify potential changes to systems, processes, and procedures to ensure all externally manufactured products meet the requirements set forth by the engineering team
  • Identify potential changes to equipment, tools, and software necessary to support process improvement throughout the organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 0-2 years quality engineering experience in a professional capacity – OR – Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology with a minimum 2-4 years quality engineering experience in a professional capacity
  • An understanding of drafting standards and basic manufacturing processes 
  • Basic understanding of inspection techniques, including CMM and manual measurements with associated statistical analysis
  • Ability to lead with a strong interest in positively impacting change
  • Enthusiasm with a track record for innovative and creative problem solving

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years quality engineering experience in a professional capacity in the automotive or related industry
  • Experience with ISO 9001, TS, or equivalent quality management systems
  • Experience with LEAN Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodology
  • Advanced understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal forming, plastics, composites)
  • Basic 3D design and drafting experience (Solidworks or equivalent)
  • Basic knowledge of suspension, braking, exhaust, turbo, and engine/drivetrain system design and engineering principles
  • European automotive knowledge (BMW, Audi, VW, MINI, Porsche, Mercedes)
  • Experience working on and modifying personal project vehicles
