Lighting Technical Support Specialist

Role Overview:

As a Technical Support Specialist at ENTTEC, you will be the cornerstone of our technical operations, ensuring our cutting-edge products perform flawlessly and meet the unique needs of our diverse clientele. Your role will involve direct interaction with our sales teams and customers to provide tailored solutions and support.

Primary responsibilities:

• Knowledgeable about the technical aspects of the entire ENTTEC product line, including how to troubleshoot and repair most issues as well as the key selling features of the products.
• Diagnose and solve hardware and software issues. Communicate with Australia and Dubai offices for repair issues that need to be escalated.
• Work with sales personnel to recommend product solutions on large or complicated projects, including custom product development. At times, this involves working directly with customers and some travel may be required.
• Product repairs or replacements for in and out of warranty items.
• Serve as the point of contact for technical information to and from Australia and Dubai and distribute the information to the relevant parties.
• Contribute to R&D by recommending key features and capabilities that products should include to be viable in the market.
• Testing firmware of new or revised products and communicating the results to headquarters.
• Train new and existing staff on products, both new and old, highlighting key selling points and target markets.
• Other duties as necessary

Requirements:

• Technical Expertise: Possesses at least 2 years of hands-on experience with DMX / ArtNET lighting technologies. Candidates with backgrounds in AV, home automation, or low voltage are also highly valued. • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where direct customer interaction and problem-solving are routine.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and effectively.
• Team Collaboration: Proven track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Travel: Willingness to travel primarily within Florida and to our home office in North Carolina. Travel is not a significant part of this position, though there are times it will be necessary.
