Description
As a Senior Professional Engineer at Environmental Design Group, you will leverage your expertise to provide high-level engineering, design and technical application to projects. Projects may include master planning and site development, site evaluation and feasibility studies, site utilities, and stormwater management, detailed design and construction documents, permitting and bidding, and construction phase services. This position may be a representative of the company for client interactions.
As a Senior Profession Engineer at Environmental Design Group, you will:
- Actively engage in assigned projects by conducting research, analyzing gathered data, performing site reviews, providing base maps (or other exhibits), and performing design and production tasks.
- Demonstrate a solid grasp of skill set and exercise sound professional judgement.
- Provide clear and concise documentation of all project activities and quantities.
- Review and check detailed drawings and layouts in support of QA/QC processes.
- Perform field activities as needed.
- Adhere to all quality and safety protocols.
- Make recommendations and demonstrate analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Collaborate and regularly communicate with Project Managers and other project staff on work status, deliverables, schedule, and budgets.
- Supervise the work of other professionals to complete project documentation, provide basic direction and input, monitor quality, and ensure on-time completion of work.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with existing and prospective clients; participate in client events, community boards, organizations, and industry associations, public meetings, and deliver presentations as requested.
- Train, lead, and mentor other associates working in your area of expertise.
- Develop, implement, and maintain planning, design, and engineering standards, including standard specifications and drawings.
- Identify project risks and monitor/mitigate risk throughout the project lifecycle.
- Carry out any other responsibilities as assigned for the organization’s best interest.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
- 7-10 years of related experience is preferred.
- 4 years of supervisory experience or mentorship is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills in a team-oriented environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time regular position.
Travel
A willingness to travel locally as needed is required for this position.
