What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vacuum Truck Driver position at Environmental Restoration, LLC?
Truck Driver -
Environmental Restoration LLC is a provider of cost effective hazardous wastes material management and removal services. Our services include Emergency Response, Site Remediation, Environmental Construction, and Specialty Technical Services. Since 1997, we have been a remediation contractor for federal, state, local agencies and private sector clients, providing services nationwide from our St. Louis corporate headquarters and from our 23 regional offices located across the United States.
Under general supervision, the Vac Truck Driver performs a range of tasks required for environmental cleanup operations to include but not limited to, the safe operation of company vehicles, and when not driving, duties will include range of tasks required for environmental cleanup operations, in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
Vac Truck Drivers will work on-site at project locations which typically include abandoned warehouses, buildings or outdoor areas. The work environment is usually dirty, dusty, and noisy, containing hazardous or potentially hazardous substances and/or materials and is subject to inclement or extreme weather conditions. Work includes handling hazardous materials and use of personal protective equipment. The applicant must be available for emergency response work after-hours and on weekends. Occasional travel is required.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of verifiable CDL experience, excellent references, excellent driving history, and the demonstrated ability to perform the following daily functions:

Pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and physical exam.
Legally eligible to work in the United States (Verified through E-Verify)
Must be able to interpret and follow written and oral instructions and assignments.
A minimum of three years of verifiable experience safely operating a vehicle requiring a CDL
A minimum of a Class B CDL, it is preferable to have a Class A CDL with a HazMat and Tanker endorsement
Complete required paperwork, forms and records as required
Able to wear full face respirator
Construction industry experience, environmental experience, hazardous waste experience and certification (i.e. OSHA 40hr HAZWOPER), Class "A" CDL, heavy equipment operation and maintenance experience a plus.

- Follow applicable safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site-specific safety plans when performing cleanup activities and donning protective gear
- Operate a vacuum truck
- Move waste containers with a drum dolly and pallet jack
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment
- Assist with cleanup operations
