Claims Manager (General Liability)

Responsibilities:

• Direct responsibility; day to day, oversight and management of self insured retention (SIR) multi jurisdictional General Liability program.
• Day to day management of Third Party Administrators and Claims Adjusters.
• Conduct all in house claim investigations, collaborate with attorneys/adjusters, implement most cost effective resolution plan.
• Decision maker with regard to accepting claim tenders based on contract language.
• Participate in GL mediations; actively negotiate resolution of claim.
• Schedule and lead GL claims reviews with TPA's and attorneys.
• Conduct monthly meetings with Operations personnel to discuss open claims and financial implications to company.
• Review loss runs for trends; analyze risk data for executive team.
• Partner with Safety Director to address/create site specific Risk Management plans.

Qualifications/Required Experience:

• Bachelors Degree.
• 3-5 years experience managing multi jurisdictional GL insurance program with high deductible or self insured retention (SIR) insurance program.
• 3-5 years experience in claims handling, settlement negotiation, mediation tactics.
• Experience in the service industry preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of contractual indemnification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word.
• Risk Management or Claims designation a plus.
• Ability to work full time in office environment, not hybrid or remote.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
