The highly trained staff at EnviroVantage is looking to add to our team as we continue to grow. EnviroVantage is growing and looking for Asbestos/Demolition General Laborers . Essential Functions: Executing specific asbestos/demolition tasks as instructed Cleaning and preparing project sites Work off ladders, lifts or scaffolding and with mechanical equipment as needed Operate hand tools, power tools Torch/Weld experience desired Plasma Arc Oxy Acetylene/propane Ability to understand and follow directions Focused on SAFETY at all times Excellent communication skills Organized, hardworking and motivated Strong team player with positive attitude Normal working hours 7am 3:30 pm; potential to work nights/weekends Experience: Minimum of 1 year construction or demolition experience required Experience with construction hand tools required Experience working outside during all seasons and in all-weather required Able to be at job site on time; job sites are generally located within 2 hours of headquarters Ability to passpre-employment post-offer physical Ability to pick up construction debris and able to lift 50 lbs. regularly is required OSHA 10 or higher construction training preferred Working Environment/Physical Demands: Coordination: On busy construction sites, you must be able to coordinate your actions with those of other workers. Attendance: you must be able to complete work projects on time and in an effective manner; regular and prompt attendance are an essential job function Working Conditions: ability to work outdoors inheat, cold, dust, rain, pollution and toxic atmospheres PPE: Ability to wear required PPE, including respirator, and participate in OSHA-required medical surveillance programs as necessary Lifting: Able to pick up construction debris and able to lift 50 lbs. regularly Able to climb temporary or permanent stairs and ladders The employee is regularly required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Reasonable accommodations are made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Applicants must submit an application.
