Engineering Technician
Envision Technology, an innovative company developing uncrewed aerial and ground systems for defense applications, seeks an Engineering Technician. In this role, you are responsible for providing engineers with support, assembly, diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of product.
Responsibilities
- Perform electronics and opto-mechanical assembly, disassembly, and rework, including soldering
- Create work instructions, assembly instructions, and test plans
- Work from complex wiring and assembly drawings, engineering sketches, plans, specifications, and test procedures
- Test prototype assemblies and production units
- Inspect assembled units and evaluate test results
- Interpret and follow documents such as SOPs and safety rules
- Work closely with engineers and program management to meet program goals
- Opportunities for mechanical design and software generation
- Additional tasks as required to meet organizational goals
Qualifications:
- Assembly experience in electronics rework, mechanical assembly, optical assembly
- Basic understanding of electric circuits, multimeters, oscilloscopes, ammeters, and hand tools
- Attention to detail, neatness of work performed and being creative
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment
- Ability to work alone and with others, with self-motivation and a can-do attitude
- Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and managing time efficiently
- 2 -5 years equivalent work experience or an Associate degree or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
