What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barback position at EOS Hospitality?
If you have to work, why not work at the hottest bar on Hilton Head Island?!!! Beach House needs a couple of Barbacks to support the Tiki Hut bartenders keep the drinks flowing and the guests wanting more. You'll work hard and that dedication will get you a piece of the Tiki bartender tips.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Keep the bar stocked with liquor, beer, syrups, glasses, and all other necessary items before and during service hours
- Fill ice wells, change beer kegs
- Clean up spills, remove used glassware
- Prioritize cleanliness and health standards
- Coordinate with managers and supervisors, kitchen staff, and security to ensure efficient and safe service
- Handle emergency situations, like cleaning up broken glass and spilled drinks
- Situational awareness is a must. Be able to recognize and quickly adjust to ever changing situations
- On slower days, support the Tiki staff and guests by helping run food when necessary
- Participate in special projects set forth by the managers and supervisors
Barback Skills and Qualifications
- Physically fit to meet the demands of the job, such as lifting liquor and beer cases
- The stamina for standing and walking for long periods of time, being able to move quickly
- Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and in the heat of a Lowcountry summer
- The ability to work in a team environment and take direction from everyone in the department
- Of legal age to serve alcohol
- Strong knowledge of bar items
- Friendly, responsible, and punctual
- Prefer two years of barback experience
