POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role would be assigned to the AV Engineering Team for a Global Technology Company. AV Engineer designs systems and introduces new technology for the company to better collaborate, as well as improve reliability and system monitoring. Such role would aid in a
collective effort of system/device testing, quality assurance of existing systems (functionality/readiness), mitigating escalated issues, and providing engineer support to event AV operators as needed. We are looking for a seasoned engineer with strong project management
skills, troubleshooting skills, and AV programming skills (i.e. Crestron UI, DSP profiling); is highly familiar with Crestron products and, Biamp products, and Zoom products; has experience working corporate event systems; and knows how to further empower a growing Ops layer of technicians.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead, facilitate, and coordinate the collaboration of deployment projects from planning to
execution/post deployment review. - Perform technical analysis of devices and systems, troubleshoot and mitigate discovered
issues, augment/develop Crestron UI’s as needed, and augment/configure AV
programming files as needed - Provide project stakeholders with a routine status of the deployment project, actively
communicating technical issues and risks, and minimizing the impact of these issues
and risks - Curate/Author and/or update technical documentation for IT Ops consumption on
operating and troubleshooting practices - Participate in the design, implementation, running, and troubleshooting of technical
events - Help improve AV monitoring systems by aiding in automation deployment, platform
integrations, and on-call triaging - Streamline operational and troubleshooting procedures for IT Ops
- Survey, evaluate, and reprogram Crestron control panel interfaces for events
systems as needed - Survey, evaluate, and reconfigure audio DSP profiles for spaces utilizing DSP technology
- Aid in escalations requiring additional troubleshooting as needed
- Aid in think-tanking design and spec standards for the company, based on findings and experience.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
- CTS or CTSD certification
- 2 Years Project Management Experience in a technical field (AV/VC, Networking, Infrastructure, etc.)
- Experience with Office Microsoft Suite Excellent task management, verbal & written communication skills, combined with relentless follow-up.
- Excels when working in a team-oriented environment and highly motivated to provide a positive user experience Exceptional attention to detail with a proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced, changing work environment with the ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks and manage time efficiently
- Strong demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, a customer-service orientation, and welcoming, helpful attitude. Able and confident to make decisions and be accountable for project deliverables.
- Prior experience working in large-technical event spaces
- Proficient in Biamp, Crestron, Extron, Shure, Barco, Zoom
- Competent with camera systems, sound boards, microphones & sound systems
- Ability to diagnose issues quickly & effectively
- Knowledge of ticketing systems such as Jira, ServiceNow
- Prior experience working with AV integrators/suppliers to chase warranty/contractual obligations in regard to the events spaces
- Prior experience in reviewing complete systems in preparation for events
