What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Designer position at EOS?

We are looking for an Instructional Designer who will develop content, materials, tools and resources that support all projects and programs under the People Excellence Team. This candidate must be a creative, resourceful, and motivated individual with an instructional design background.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Design and build learning material for a wide range of platforms to support multiple delivery types-including web, in person, virtual and onsite classroom.
- Collaborate with other subject matter experts and curriculum developers to ensure that format and delivery support the learning needs of a wide audience.
- Review and test new and revised curriculum offerings from other team members, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Create course content that engages the audience, increases retention, transfers skill/knowledge, and drives sustained behavior change.
- Work with People Excellence Manager to develop new content and materials including but not limited to Toolkits, FAQs, Workbooks, Assessments, promotional materials (posts, posters, flyers, etc.).
- Ensure that content is kept up-to-date and implemented correctly by coordinating with other teams both internal/external in Global Security.
- Coordinate with other key stakeholders to successfully launch new content while ensuring that all new content is marketed effectively.
- Manage relations with various teams and external vendors for creation and delivery of educational content.
- Develop the narrative for content, with a high degree of conceptual creativity and verbal polish.
- Ideate innovative content/materials solutions and produce visually striking and well-articulated brand messaging for delivery purposes.
- Create engaging materials to educate the audience on a range of topics using a variety of channels (presentations, one-sheeters, webinars, video, exercises, quizzes and/or e-learning formats).
- Establish standards for training materials, processes, and intakes/requests.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Knowledge and understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies
- Experience with Storyline and Articulate Rise
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge and understanding of instructional methodologies, and industry design standards to design and develop interactive learning for a variety of delivery methods.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple work streams on tight timeframes.
- Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Meticulous attention to detail, with a drive for excellence.
- Ability to thrive and remain positive in a challenging and fast paced workspace • Integrity and respect for confidentiality.
- An outstanding eye for detail and ability to maintain style and branding across all mediums.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 years of technology-based instructional design and training delivery experience using adult learning methodologies.
- Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
- Experience leading learning programs including planning, scheduling, project communication, issue resolution, organizational change, and risk management.
- Have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; a master’s degree in a related field is a plus.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) to provide supplemental support for programs presented.
- Experience with Toonly or other cartoon editing tool
