What we are looking for:
We are seeking a Material Handling Equipment Operator to bring their A game to help us save the world, one package at a time! We are seeking a Material Handling Equipment Operator who will be responsible for operating material handling equipment including forklifts to load and unload trailers or material to from one location to another in a safe and efficient manner in support of key production standards and operational goals. The incumbent must work with a high sense of safety in a fast-paced work environment and produce quality results.
What you will do:

  • Work as part of a production team with a high sense of urgency, safety, and attention to detail
  • Stage and organize all incoming and outgoing product
  • Operate forklift to move material through facility (i.e. sit down, reach truck, power jack, etc.) as required
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment in an efficient manner to meet customer service standards
  • Stack skids or pallets in designated areas
  • Maintains housekeeping standards and performs cleaning as assigned
  • Maintain the facility equipment and materials in a safe, clean, and orderly fashion and perform daily equipment checks in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards
  • Prepare orders by pulling from stock for the purpose of meeting delivery requirement
  • Stock equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining required inventory levels
  • Perform order filling, receiving, inventory control and various other functions in the warehouse
  • Complete daily inspection checklist including forklift equipment to identify faulty equipment damages and safety concerns; communicate to Supervisor immediately
  • Follows all safety procedures and works to continuously improve safety throughout the plant and ensures timely and regular safety training goals are met
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed:

  • 1 year of experience operating a forklift
  • Previous Forklift Certification and experience required
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and flexibility in meeting deadlines
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to abide by safety standards

Experience:

  • forklift driving: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:
