Location: Remote, Eastern Time Zone hours
SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Run the full cycle of an invoice/check request. Obtain approval, determine allocation (coding), enter in Oracle, process payment
- Perform monthly closing duties
- Able to handle all vendor correspondence via telephone or email
- Respond to email or phone calls within 24 hours from internal or external customers
- Able to investigate and resolve issues associated with the processing of invoices and check requests
- Prepare batch check runs
- Receive, research and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.
- Performs other duties as required to support the Accounting Department
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, manipulate data).
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work independently
- Must be able to work with several different systems
- Maintain accuracy, timeliness, and consistency in the AP process to provide management with an accurate picture of departmental expenses
- Pay attention to detail. Approaches work in a meticulous and thorough manner
- Effective organizational skills
- Keep files and work area organized
- Works under limited supervision
- Able to multi-task
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates degree or higher
- 2-3 years accounts payable or general accounting experience
- 10-key by touch
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Open to change and willing to learn new skills
- Ability to follow up on pending issues
- Ability to meet deadlines

The national average salary for this role is $60,000 to $70,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
