Summary:
The Special Services Advisory Team specialist acts as a liaison between administrative staff (Assistant Superintendent, MDIs, principals, etc.) and teachers to champion quality education for ALL students (SPED, RTI, ELL, 504, etc). He/She performs all special services duties required for this position for the Deputy Superintendent of the District and Assistant Superintendent of Special Programs under the direct supervision of the Special Education Director. This position requires extensive knowledge of SPED/IDEA/WIDA/504 procedures and policies, knowledge of District procedures and policies,the ability to assume responsibility, work effectively and independently under pressure and maintain confidentiality

Qualifications
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Mathematical Skills
Basic math skills required
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Google applications, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Must have a high aptitude to learn new software as necessary for the business operations of the school.

The person in this position works remotely from their home. Meetings in public places and at Epic offices are also required. Travel to testing sites around the state will be required. Some overnight and extended stays during testing season may be required. The noise level is usually quiet to moderately loud (when students are present.)
