Regional Manager of Diagnostic and Specialty

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Manager of Diagnostic and Specialty Services to join our dynamic healthcare organization.  The Regional Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operations of our diagnostic and specialty services department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and efficient healthcare services.  This role requires a strong background in healthcare management, exceptional leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of diagnostic and specialty services within the healthcare industry.

*This is an on-site position.  Must reside in Metro Detroit area*

 What You'll do to help your team at EPIC:

• Departmental Management: Oversee the daily operations of the diagnostic and specialty services department, including staffing, budgeting, resource allocation, and performance management.
• Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure the delivery of accurate and reliable diagnostic and specialty services, adhering to regulatory standards and best practices.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term strategies for the growth and development of the diagnostic and specialty services department, including the introduction of new services and technologies.
• Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to a team of healthcare professionals, fostering a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, and encouraging professional development.
• Service Development: Identify opportunities for service expansion, improvement, and innovation within the diagnostic and specialty services department, based on industry trends and customer feedback.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, healthcare providers, vendors, and regulatory agencies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Financial Management: Monitor and manage the departmental budget, optimizing resource allocation, and implementing cost-effective strategies to achieve financial targets.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, standards, and guidelines, including HIPAA, OSHA, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Performance Evaluation: Establish performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of diagnostic and specialty services, implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues related to patient safety, data security, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field.  A master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum 7-10 years of progressive management experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on diagnostic and specialty services.
• In-depth knowledge of diagnostic and specialty services, including imaging, laboratory, pathology and other related areas.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, accreditation requirements, and industry standards.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute long-term plans for service growth and development.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in healthcare technology and software applications.
