Responsibilities of an MDS Coordinator:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and complete MDS accurately for residents
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care planning
  • Stay abreast of state and federal regulations related to MDS processes
  • Monitor and adjust resident care plans as needed
  • Provide guidance and education to nursing and clinical staff regarding MDS procedures

 

Qualifications of an MDS Coordinator:

  • Valid RN license in Kentucky
  • Proven experience in MDS coordination and assessment
  • In-depth knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other reimbursement regulations
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities
