What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Assistant position at Epic Theatres?

We are looking for a competent Office Assistant to help with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations of the company. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute daily and weekly accounting reports in a timely manner
  • Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information
  • Respond to requests or issues from senior staff
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with established policies
  • Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, customers and colleagues

Required Education and Professional Experience

  • 1-2 years post high school education or comparable work experience

Foundational Skills

  • Analytical Thinking – Analyze information to ensure accurate work product
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Organization and Prioritization – Employ strong organizational skills; prioritize time and adjust workload, to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks; handle time and situational pressures; work independently and within team environment
  • Team Skills/Collaboration - Work effectively in a professional, fast paced team environment
  • Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills – Clearly articulate relevant ideas, opinions, and information; communicate effectively, efficiently and professionally with team members and vendors
  • Strong Problem Solving Skills – Identify problems, suggest solutions and implement solutions
  • Computer Skills – Comfortable trouble shooting user level computer issues
  • Working knowledge of office equipment
  • Task Management – Manage multiple tasks with accurate results
  • Internal Control – Maintain appropriate level of internal control over all areas of responsibility
