Epicutis is vibrant and innovative skincare company with a global reach on a mission to provide natural, clinical, clean, green, safe products. Building on the success of Signum Biosciences, an established science company, we have grown from 15 employees to over 35 in last year with significant increase in sales after the launch of our Epicutis skincare product line.


We are looking for a dynamic Finance & Accounting leader to join our management team and help us navigate this next exciting chapter of growth. Interesting work abounds, including implementing a new inventory management system, streamlining the accounting processes, and creating a robust reporting cadence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting Operations: Oversee and perform financial operations, month-end reporting, financial schedules, and bank reconciliations; Prepare monthly and year-end closing statements, and financial documents.
  • Manage Annual Audit: Oversee the company financial audit process by independent auditors.
  • Team Leadership: Develop and mentor the finance & accounting team including accounts payable, invoicing, and cash management; provide guidance, coaching, and support to achieve goals.
  • Inventory Management: Lead the selection, implementation, and oversight of an Inventory Management System.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments including Sales, Operations, Production, and Research teams to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Revenue Stream Management: Oversee multiple revenue streams including white label products, royalties, and international distributors.
  • Process and System Optimization: Transition the company from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Review, update, and implement financial policies and procedures, maintaining a balance between structure and flexibility.
  • Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports including forecasting, sales, product performance, and compensation structures .
  • Budgeting: Lead the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and financial objectives.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage and optimize cash flow to support business operations and growth.
  • Capital Raising: Assist with future capital raises as needed.
  • Flexibility: Embrace ambiguity and adapt to the evolving needs of a growing company.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in financial management within the beauty or consumer products industry.
  • Expert in cost accounting and experienced working with Inventory Management Systems.
  • Proficient in financial software; QuickBooks Online preferred and experience with Shopify is a plus.
  • Experience in payroll preparation and interactions with payroll services.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to establish policies and procedures in a collaborative manner.
  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable with technology and quick to adapt to new tools and systems.
  • Genuine interest in the health and wellness industry and its products.
  • Adaptable and open-minded, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Energetic with the ability to grow and expand responsibilities.
