What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Technician position at Epp Foundation Repair?
A Shop Technician will manage the shop(s) the and the actives. Their duties will consist of ensuring that the shop(s) are clean and in good standing, also that the tools, trucks and machinery are also clean and that minor repairs are performed on those such items if need be. The shop technician must be extremely detailed and organized and they must be able to oversee the organization of all of the shop tools, equipment and vehicles. Their primary job will be to set the crew leaders up to win every day, by making sure that the shop is adequately stocked with the appropriate number of products, trucks are clean, loaded and ready for the next day and that minor fixes and issues are taken care of so that the crew leaders can focus on their jobs. The Shop Technician must me handy and be able to perform small fixes on tools, small engines, wiring, and minor welding. It will also be the duty of a Shop Technician to be able to effectively operate a fork lift and load and unload delivery’s, trucks, and trailers. The Shop Technicians will be able to lift and move heavy items and be able to climb up and down many times in and out of trucks and trailers. The Shop Technicians hours will be different from all other Epp employees. Their main objective to prepare and load trucks for the next day must be done when the trucks are back at the shop. They must accomplish that task early in the morning and be at the shop several hours before the crews arrive.
Essential Job Functions
· Strategically manage the warehouse (shop’s) in compliance with company policies and vision.
· Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations.
· Help in setting up layout to ensure efficient space utilization.
· Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
· Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping requirements.
· Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
· Manage stock and order product as needed.
· Liaise with crews, suppliers and transport companies.
· Track and inventory all supplies, products and tools.
· Be EXTREMLY punctual. Your attendance is key to your job.
· Have a valid drivers license and be able to comfortably drive many different types of vehicles.
· Be responsible for maintenance and repair of all vehicles and equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Material Moving & Warehousing Occupations: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
