What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Salesforce CDP Developer position at Epsilon?
This role is part of the fast-growing Consulting and Integration services Organization at Epsilon. The team’s core objective is to drive business growth and deepen client relationships by transforming how Epsilon’s customers use and maximize their investments around machine learning and AI and customer data platforms. Client integration will come in many forms including customer websites, call centers, email systems, mobile application, print channels, and many other customer touch points. Brief Description of Role:
We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Lead Developer who will play the role as a dev lead and also a hands-on developer to manage the implementation, development, and operations of Salesforce Interaction Studio and CDP and other CDPs as needed.
- Become Client’s technical expert in deploying and maintaining the recommendation and on-site personalization engine.
- Build custom experiences for personalization, testing and product recommendations across Client’s brand websites and email campaigns.
- Set up campaigns in SaaS engine platform to help brands execute cross-channel (site, email, social) promotions and messages.
- Lead development of JS implementations and CSS templates for brand use of on-site a/b testing experiences
- Test and validate campaign execution with goals of developing best practices in activation and performance measurement
- Assist with reporting needs to help business understand adoption and performance with data analysis, query development, and troubleshooting data issues
- Manage inbound and outbound integrations of the platform across the organization
- Identify growth opportunities for brands usage of personalization through knowledge sharing, technical integrations, and expansion of channel activations
- Prioritize, plan and deliver projects to create business impact while setting a high bar for scientific rigor
- Provide technical guidance to other development teams and oversee the technical aspects of the solution
- Always take all software best practices into consideration. E.g. infrastructure cost, security, scalability, feature extensibility, ease of maintenance, etc.
- Up to date on new technologies and software development practices
- May also be asked to learn and work on other CDPs like Blueconic, AEP, Tealium’s Audiencestream, etc.
Qualification
The followings are required:
- Computer Science or related field with 5 years of relevant experience
- Experienced in front end development with JavaScript, Angular, Node.js, TypeScript, CSS/SASS and Serverless frameworks
- Experience or exposure with Salesforce marketing cloud, Interaction Studio and Salesforce CDP
- Experience with Adobe RTCDP, Blueconic is nice to have.
- Tech Stack: EMR, EC2, Lambda, S3, Cloudwatch, CLI, SNS, SQS, Sagemaker, Elasticsearch, ElastiCache, Glue, DynamoDB, Athena, Redshift, Kinesis, Kafka, Spark, Jenkins
- Willingness to use any programming language but the ones mostly used are: Python, Shell, Java
- Strong object oriented software development background
- Extensive experience building APIs or services such as RESTful services
- Attention to detail in design, documentation, and test coverage of what you build
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, team player.
- Strong analytical and leadership skills
- Ability to work on multiple assignments concurrently
- In addition, the candidate should have strong business acumen, and interpersonal and communication skills, yet also be able to work independently.
