Job Description: Prep Seated task. Review and preparation of documents requires constant use of upper extremities and some reaching.
Protective footwear MAY BE required and shall meet ASTM F2413-11 "Standard Specification for Performance Requirements for Protective ( Safety) Toe Cap Footwear and have a slip-resistant rating designated as "Better or Best.
Normal Work Schedule: 5 days a week, 9 hours a day including 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks. Evening and 3rd shift may be required depending on assignment
Preparation (Prep) One carton at a time is brought to the Prep table by the Record Center Coordinator. Documents are removed in small batches by the Imaging Production Specialist, who removes staples, paper clips, or other fasteners. Bent corners or folded pages are also straightened to allow the sheet to be laid flat. Documents are returned to the carton in the same order in which they were removed. This is usually performed as a seated task but could be arranged as a sit/stand position. This component accounts for about 60% of shift hours if the position is taken as a whole.
