EquipmentShare is searching for an Economic Development Coordinator to join our Construction/Real Estate/Facilities team in Chattanooga, TN and continue our company's growth across the country.
EquipmentShare is seeking an Economic Development Coordinator who will promote the positive community and economic impact of new EquipmentShare locations throughout the United States and serve as the primary point of contact for EquipmentShare's Economic Development related negotiations for new and existing branch level markets. The role will enhance the efforts of the Real Estate Acquisitions and the Real Estate Development teams by further qualifying potential site locations and new markets as it relates to Economic Development efforts.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with overall expansion efforts of Real Estate team by networking with brokers and local and state economic development officials to identify potential existing and new construction locations.
- Assist with overall expansion efforts of Real Estate team with respect to communications with local jurisdictions to further qualify properties identified as potential new locations.
- Produce an economic development report of available local or state incentives for location under contract including eligibility criteria for incentives and potential cost savings for branch.
- Coordinate negotiations with appropriate staff in the event an application is required to receive any incentives and submit applications as required for approval.
- Coordinate with appropriate internal departments to ensure any incentive agreements align with overall corporate strategy.
- Coordinate closing schedules with incentive agreement executions to ensure all incentive agreements are executed prior to closing.
- Manage and maintain compliance and performance measures for all executed incentive agreements.

Skills & Qualifications
- At least 3 years of community or economic development experience, preferably 7 or more years
- Experience in real estate and incentives negotiations
- Experience working cross functionally with multiple departments to accomplish key objectives
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritization, and planning (preferred)
- Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) credentials preferred
- Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) credentials preferred
