EquipmentShare is searching for a Lead Network Architect at our Corporate headquarters in Columbia MO to help us build and design cloud-native architectural principles to support our company mission. Our Lead Network Architect will have the opportunity to guide both the cloud-native engineering team as well as the IT networking team to design and build highly scalable cloud and on-prem infrastructure. You'll serve as both team's expert when it comes to designing, planning, and deploying both cloud and on-prem network infrastructure. You'll use industry best practices to ensure the teams continues to build high-performing and reliable network architecture successfully.

Primary Responsibilities

• Aid in the design, maintenance, and implementation of a secure, scalable cloud infrastructure platform across multiple accounts and global regions.
• Assess new technologies and best practices for adoption
• Identify bottlenecks, issues, and areas of improvement for current cloud and on-site infrastructure
• Guide the development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of EquipmentShare's cloud and on-site infrastructure
• Collaborate across functions & departments to develop an end product that fulfills end-user needs and aligns with our business roadmap
• Provides technical solutions for the establishment and spearheads the implementation of high availability network solutions to support the convergence of voice, data, and multimedia services, as well as cloud application security architectures
• Other responsibilities as they arise.

Skills & Qualifications

To set you up for success in this role from day one, EquipmentShare requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• A seasoned Amazon AWS professional with significant experience enabling teams to build out cloud-first applications with a strong network foundation.
• Significant experience designing solutions using current industry best practices with a proven track record of success.
• Demonstrable experience working in a multi-account multi-region environment
• Experience working with IoT applications and/or scaling out high throughput, data-intensive applications.
• Experience with multi-vendor networking equipment and security appliances
• Familiar with network configuration, automation tooling, telemetry, and authentication technologies.
• Expertise with WAN architectures ("legacy" ex: MPLS and "trending" ex: SD-WAN & VPN methods)
• Familiarity with multiple firewall vendor platforms (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Meraki, Juniper, etc.)
• Comfortable and confident working in a fast-paced, fluid & dynamic work environment
• An excellent communicator and listener.
