Description: Packaging Engineer to support the following programs and activities and possess technical acumen with the specified packaging formats:
Overall responsibilities:
Design, develop and qualify packaging components and systems for customer's portfolio of pharmaceutical and medical device products. Product types to include:
Ophthalmics
Cosmetics
Surgical medical devices
Other pharmaceuticals (Rx)
OTC or self-care products
Packaging component and packaging systems to include:
Pouches and flexible packaging materials
Aerosol packaging systems
Secondary packaging, cartons
Bottles and container closure systems
Knowledge of packaging processes and packaging operations to support contract manufacturing projects
Packaging activities to include:
Supplier development and management, including:
supplier qualifications and packaging development activities
Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO) management for the execution of line trials and material qualifications, support of production activities, trouble shooting, cost savings programs and technology transfers.
Professional competencies:
Strong oral and written communication skills
Self-starter and problem solver with strong collaboration skills to work cross functionally within the customer's systems.
Additionally, the packaging engineer shall possess the necessary professionalism to work effectively
with customer's suppliers to complete programs.
Project management skills and acumen to meet project objectives, deliverables, and timelines
