Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator to join our team at Ercolano Cleaning & Restoration, a reputable restoration company. As an Estimator, you will play a key role in assessing and estimating the costs of restoration projects, including property damage caused by fire, water, storms, or other incidents. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the accurate evaluation of project scope, materials, labor, and timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough site inspections to assess the extent of property damage and identify restoration requirements
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for restoration projects, considering factors such as materials, labor, equipment, permits, and subcontractor costs
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and insurance adjusters to gather necessary information and ensure alignment on project specifications
- Utilize estimating software Xactimate and tools to generate precise estimates and cost breakdowns
- Settle invoices with adjuster and insurnce company
- Must be profeicent in Xactimate estimating software
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and relevant documents to
- determine the scope of work and identify potential risks or challenges
- Communicate effectively with clients, insurance companies, and subcontractors to address inquiries, clarify requirements, and negotiate pricing if needed
- Stay updated on industry standards, building codes, and regulations to ensure compliance in estimating and restoration practices
- Prepare and present estimates to clients, providing clear explanations of costs, timelines, and recommended restoration methods
- Collaborate with the procurement team to obtain accurate pricing and availability of materials and equipment
- Participate in post-project reviews to analyze actual costs versus estimated costs and identify areas for improvement
Qualifications:
- Xactimate a must- Xactimate certification a plus
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the restoration, construction, or insurance industry
- Strong knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and restoration processes
- Proficiency in using estimating software and tools, such as Xactimate or similar programs
- Solid understanding of construction plans, blueprints, and specifications
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, insurance adjusters, and subcontractors
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
