Position Summary:
Perform light-assembly and packaging of mechanical assemblies and kits.
Position Responsibilities:
Prepare materials for assembly.
Review work order documentation for accuracy prior to assembly.
Assemble light mechanical assemblies.
Package and label products for shipment.
Keep work area clean and dispose of raw material packaging materials.
Work with Engineer and/or Supervisor to resolve assembly issues.
Inspect all products, prior to packaging, to insure conformance to quality standards.
Maintain flexibility between work stations.
Work in teams with other assembly personnel
Additional duties as requested.
Supports “Lean Business Enterprise” initiatives for continuous process improvement and waste elimination.
Position Requirements (Knowledge and Experience):
High school diploma or equivalent.
Good mechanical aptitude.
Good understanding of basic English.
Basic blueprint reading ability.
Ability to lift 35 lbs.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to use hand, power, and pneumatic tools to produce mechanical assemblies.
Keep work area clean and dispose of raw material packaging materials.
Demonstrate complete knowledge of Bom, Discreet job and basic knowledge of Oracle.
Review work order documentation for accuracy prior to assembly.
Demonstrate knowledge of processes and tool use.
Work with supervisor to complete build schedule.
Assist engineer and supervisor to resolve assembly issues.
Make process and product improvement suggestions.
Work with warehouse to ensure work orders are complete (shortages, manuals, primaries).
Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job as described to you for the position.
