Our Exciting Opportunity

We are looking for a Market Area Head of IT Sourcing for our North America Region! This individual will support sourcing efforts across 5 IT Sourcing Categories accounting for over $250M USD in spend within the region. This position will be based in Plano, Texas.

In this role, your key responsibilities will include engaging with a local business partner and customer unit leaders to ensure the timely execution of sourcing activities in support of both internal and external customer-facing projects. You will also facilitate local execution against metrics and objectives, and you will serve as the primary interface between the IT Sourcing team and local partners and executives.

We are seeking a hardworking and proactive leader to engage Category Group heads and facilitate the prioritization and planning of commercial negotiations with third-party providers.

We are in need of someone who is result-oriented, has excellent project management skills, possesses a deep analytical capability, and is skilled in both sourcing and relationship-building abilities. Previous experience in both sales and sourcing roles is helpful.

You will:

• Define and develop the regional strategy for IT Sourcing
• Coach colleagues on the best approach for conflict resolution, negotiations, and escalations
• Be a problem-solver for our stakeholders – if you don’t know the answer, you find one via internal team networking
• Track and manage Balanced Scorecard metrics for the market area
• Ensure those market area requirements are prioritized and reflected in Category Strategies and IT Sourcing initiatives
• Manage local audit compliance and risk management efforts
• Support the leadership team in refining and improving the sourcing ways of working
• Program-manage key initiatives include new tools, innovation, and simplification efforts
• Maintain positive relationships across the organization engaging key partners and constituents, specifically Customer Units, Finance, Sourcing, Legal and business partners to meet the team’s goals and objectives

To be successful in the role, you must have:

• Minimum of bachelor's degree in business and/or technical field. Master's degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Technology Sourcing with the understanding of software, server and storage, systems integration, and IT services categories
• Solid experience as a senior leader of complex organizations in a multi-stakeholder environment, with a proven track record in executing speedily, an ability to make fact-based and courageous decisions, and building a collaborative environment where a speak-up culture is encouraged
• Sourcing practice, process & strategy knowledge
• Understanding of Ericsson products and services
• Market insight, business understanding, and Ericsson knowledge
• Commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Must have managerial skills, lead teams, and be an excellent communicator
• Excellent interpersonal communications, influencing, and networking skills
• Able to build a sense of trust and rapport which creates a comfortable and effective workplace
• You are a strong believer in a culture built upon the five focus areas on Ericsson on the Move
