What you will do
- Test and repair RF electronic devices to comply with Ericsson’s established quality standards and specifications
- Prioritize work to meet team performance objectives
- Properly maintain tools and equipment
- Comply with ESD and safety directives
- Record work performed and parts exchanged on repaired units according to set procedures, through paper forms and computer data entry
- Consistently communicate relevant information to the Lead, Supervisor and next shift
- Independently complete test projects and report results
- Evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements to repair and work flow
- Develop competence in junior technicians
- Perform Production Technician's responsibilities, as needed
- Choose the correct component and procedure to repair faulty units
- Recommend improvements to products and procedures
- Recognize and facilitate competence development opportunities
- Work with other Test Technicians regarding testing processes and procedures
- Work with Production Technicians regarding soldering and assembly processes
- Work with Engineers on test projects and results
You will bring
- Must have an ASET/BSET or equivalent degree
- FCC Radiotelephone, NABER, CET or equivalent industry license or certification preferred
- 3 - 5 years' proven experience with RF cellular equipment or strong background of more than 5 years in equivalent electronics field
- Proficient using Microsoft Windows and applications
- Good understanding of RF test instrumentation
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Good oral and written communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Lifting of less than 50 pounds
- Office skills and activities including typing, answering phone, copying, etc.
- Warehouse skills such as fork lift operation
- May have exposure to temperature (i.e. uncontrolled temperature environment in warehouse), noise, dust, fumes, chemicals.
- Requires general physical demands such as sitting, standing, seeing, reaching, lifting, bending, and hand dexterity for purposes of performing the essential job functions daily.
