The I4.0 Manager – Disruption & Innovation reports to the Head of Industry 4.0 at USA 5G Smart Factory
As an integral part of this fast-paced team, this role will play a critical role in developing technology and product strategies surrounding industry 4.0 technologies by discovering opportunities & leveraging sophisticated cellular technologies. Focus of this position is to scout technologies, validate product/market fit, build prototypes, integrate, and validate technology from a variety of sources that can be scaled up
What you will do
- This position will lead a team of product owners, software developers, architects and more.
- Passionate focus on identifying high value opportunities in alignment with stakeholders
- Strong Presentation & Story-telling skills
- Develop, implement & oversee use cases that will take advantage of future cellular technology networks & improve production efficiency.
- Collaborate with Internal & Global Stakeholders to plan, develop and implement software product strategy & advancement of 5G adoption for manufacturing.
- Evaluate and recommend new processes, technologies, and methods that improve time to value of Use Cases.
- Apply change management processes to develop & implement effective change organization strategies and plans that enhance employee adoption, improve organization performance, and increase operational efficiencies
- Manage or help/coordinate technical projects in a meticulous and disciplined fashion to track progress and to ensure goals are achieved during project execution, provide technology oversight, direction and steering to maximize project output and technical resource efficiency
- Discover & Determine opportunities that improve our production capabilities and enhance efficiencies by building intelligent production systems that power sustainable business resilience and allow Ericsson to continuously meet & exceed customer expectations.
- Collaborate with different areas to prepare business cases to show the benefits of implementing new technologies (use cases)
- Research and keep aware of current innovative and future technology trends, primarily within the industry 4.0 ecosystem/value chain.
- Analyze and discover new insights that will translate into emerging products and services.
You will bring
- Bachelor's and /or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or closely related fields (PREFERRED) OR relevant years of experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with leading in software development via Product Owner, Software development manager, team lead, software architect or related roles.
- Experience in using sophisticated technologies (Edge Computing, Cloud Services, IoT Sensors w/ Real Time Data, Machine Learning, AI & 5G Connectivity)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Thrives in an ambiguous fast-past environment and work with a sense of urgency
